Muro Camel is an ivory-cream textile crossed by irregular warm camel bands, creating a softly graphic, horizontal surface. The muted camel lines vary in thickness and density, giving the swatch an easy, natural depth.

About this fabric

The cream ground keeps this colourway light, while the warm camel marks add earthy contrast without becoming saturated or stark. Its broken, brick-like pattern is woven in an irregular horizontal arrangement, with a 56 cm vertical repeat and 35 cm horizontal repeat. At 587 gsm, Muro Camel has a substantial weight suited to upholstery, and its 140.5 cm usable width supports practical cutting for larger pieces. The supplied construction records 80 threads per cm and a standard length of 30 m.

How to use it

Use Muro Camel on a lounge chair, sofa or upholstered headboard where its warm camel tracery can sit comfortably with ivory, sand, walnut and aged brass. Keep surrounding surfaces relatively quiet to let the varied horizontal marks provide the room’s textural movement.

Use this warm camel-and-cream weave to bring softly graphic texture to upholstered seating, headboards or occasional chairs.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Muro Camel without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
