Nirvana Noir

Plains & Semi Plains Fabric

Nirvana Noir is a near-black plain with a subtle woven texture that softens the darkness rather than flattening it. The surface reads as deep charcoal with a dry, fabric-led finish and barely visible crossweave.

About this fabric

This colourway is a very dark neutral, with the blackened charcoal tone broken up by fine woven speckling that gives the cloth a quiet depth. The 80% polyester and 20% cotton composition helps explain the crisp, stable look of the weave, while the 140cm width and 0cm pattern repeat make it straightforward for cut-and-sew use. In the light, the cloth does not shine; instead it holds a matte, understated finish that keeps the shade controlled and tailored. It is a plain fabric with no repeat, so the visual interest comes from the texture rather than pattern.

How to use it

Use Nirvana Noir for a refined accent chair, bench seat, or paired curtains where a strong dark ground is needed without gloss. It sits especially well with pale woods, stone, and warm metallics for contrast.

A quiet dark neutral that works cleanly on tailored upholstery or simple drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
