National Platinum

National Fabric

National Platinum is a softly balanced platinum taupe, woven with fine vertical striations that give the surface quiet movement. Its close tonal shifts read as warm grey in the image, with a natural, tactile depth.

About this fabric

The fabric shows a muted taupe-grey ground threaded with lighter and darker vertical lines. Slight irregularity across the weave keeps the surface from looking flat, while the restrained platinum colouring gives it a composed, modern character. Viewed close up, the tightly arranged threads create a subtle linear texture rather than a separate printed motif. This is a substantial-looking woven textile whose visual structure makes it well suited to upholstery.

How to use it

Use National Platinum on a sofa, headboard or occasional chair where its soft warm-grey tone can sit alongside timber, stone and layered neutrals. Pair it with darker taupe or charcoal accents to draw out the weave's fine vertical depth.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
