About this fabric

Viewed close-up, the ground shifts between muted grey, taupe and pale beige threads rather than reading as a flat single colour. Fine vertical lines run continuously through the cloth, while small tonal flecks catch the light across the surface. The substantial-looking woven texture makes this colourway best suited to upholstery. No composition, width, rub-test or performance figures have been supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Savoye Steel on a sofa, headboard or occasional chair where its cool taupe-grey tone can soften darker timber, charcoal and stone shades. Its fine vertical texture adds interest without introducing a strong graphic pattern.

The cool taupe-grey ground and fine vertical texture bring subtle depth to upholstered seating and tailored furniture.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
