Savuti Pumice

Savuti Fabric

Savuti Pumice pairs a warm, stone-like taupe ground with an ivory geometric line drawing. Its softly nubby woven surface gives the neutral colourway visible depth, while the folded swatch shows how the pattern moves across the cloth.

About this fabric

The fabric is woven in a muted pumice taupe, sitting between warm beige and soft grey rather than reading as a stark neutral. Irregular ivory lines form angular, loosely connected shapes across the surface, creating a medium-scale pattern with an organic feel. A fine, raised-looking weave catches the light across the folds and prevents the colour from appearing flat. Supplied as a fabric with no performance features noted, Savuti Pumice is best considered for upholstery where its substantial-looking texture and quiet contrast can be seen at close range.

How to use it

Bring Savuti Pumice into a calm, earthy scheme with chalky whites, oatmeal, natural timber and aged metal. The warm taupe ground works especially well on an upholstered chair or sofa, while the ivory geometry adds definition without introducing a strong colour contrast.

Use this warm taupe neutral on softly tailored seating, where its ivory linework and tactile weave can be appreciated.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
