Warwick

Scribble Pumice

Scribble Pumice reads as a quiet mushroom taupe, with a cool grey cast softened by its subtle brown undertone. The draped folds reveal a fine, even texture that shifts gently between shadow and light.

About this fabric

Scribble Pumice is catalogued as a fabric, with no performance features noted in the supplied information. Its surface appears as a compact, fine-scale weave with tiny tonal flecks that give the plain colour a softly granular character. The Pumice shade sits between warm grey and mushroom taupe, deepening into a smoky brown-grey where the cloth gathers in shadow. In the flatter areas, the close weave catches the light delicately rather than appearing glossy.

How to use it

Use this muted mushroom-taupe colourway to soften a room built around chalky whites, stone and charcoal, or pair it with walnut and aged metal for a warmer scheme. Its understated texture can add depth without introducing a strong pattern.

The muted mushroom-taupe tone and fine granular weave bring understated depth to upholstery or drapery.

Pairs well with

Scribble Pumice is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
