About Royal Collection
The Royal Collection fabrics and wallpapers launched in September 2008, taken from the interiors of Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle and produced under licence by Designers Guild.
They are documentary designs: damasks, brocades and trellises copied from things that already exist in those rooms, rather than new drawings in an old manner. That makes the range useful for a period piece where the fabric has to look like it belongs to the frame.
