Dandy 6 is a dark, close-woven textile with a deep taupe-brown ground and charcoal-like tonal shifts. The surface is plain rather than patterned, but uneven shading keeps the swatch from appearing flat.

About this fabric

Dandy 6 is a tightly woven, plain-textured fabric in a deep taupe-brown that shifts towards charcoal in the darker areas of the photograph. Subtle tonal variation across the face gives it a softly mottled appearance rather than a printed motif. The close, even weave reads as a substantial upholstery-leaning cloth, although no composition, width, rub test or performance feature is supplied. In brighter areas, the fine surface catches a restrained dry sheen, adding depth without making the colour glossy.

How to use it

Use this deep taupe-brown colourway on a tailored armchair, sofa or dining seat where its charcoal shading can add depth to a neutral room. Pair it with warm timber, aged metal and lighter stone tones to balance its dark, grounded appearance.

Its deep taupe-brown depth and quiet mottling make it a grounded choice for tailored upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
