Istoria Weaves Fabric

Koba Old Gold combines a softly creamy ground with repeated old-gold and brown woven marks. Its irregular, blurred motifs create a tactile ikat-inspired surface with a warm, quietly layered character.

About this fabric

The cloth is woven in a warm cream tone with compact, repeating marks that range from muted gold to deeper brown. Each motif has a soft, brush-like edge and an irregular vertical shape, giving the pattern a hand-worked ikat impression rather than a sharp geometric finish. Subtle changes in the weave allow the gold to catch the light differently across the surface, adding depth without making the colourway feel bright or glossy. Its visibly substantial woven texture makes Koba Old Gold particularly well suited to upholstered chairs, benches and other seating pieces.

How to use it

Use Koba Old Gold on a reading chair, dining seat or compact sofa where its warm old-gold pattern can sit comfortably with cream, walnut, aged oak and tobacco-brown accents.

Pair the warm old-gold and cream palette with walnut, aged timber and understated neutral upholstery for a softly tailored room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
