Emerson Grey

Franklin P/Bk FabricF4018-05

Emerson Grey is a quietly tailored neutral with a fine woven look and a soft, chalky grey tone. Its surface reads calm and airy, with just enough texture to keep it from feeling flat.

About this fabric

Woven in 60% linen and 40% cotton, this fabric has a natural handle and a refined, slightly dry texture that suits relaxed interiors. The repeat is very restrained at V 0cm / H 1cm approx, so the focus stays on the subtle vertical grain and the gently variegated grey surface visible in the swatch. At 143cm approx wide, it is a practical cloth for curtains, blinds and lighter upholstery applications where a composed, understated finish is wanted. The colour sits in a soft warm grey range, with a pale, almost misty depth that catches light gently rather than reflecting it strongly.

How to use it

Use this shade to soften pale oak, painted joinery and stone floors, or pair it with deeper charcoal and black accents for a sharper scheme. It works especially well where you want texture to do the decorating rather than pattern.

A clean, understated neutral that layers easily with timber, linen and darker contrast trims.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
