Tristram Bone

Hamlin FabricF4726-03

Tristram Bone reads as a calm, warm bone beige with a fine herringbone character that feels understated and polished. The small-scale weave gives the surface a subtle, textural lift rather than a flat plain appearance.

About this fabric

Woven in a blend of 25% Linen, 22% Cotton, 21% Viscose, 16% Polyester, 11% Wool and 5% Polyamide, this fabric has a grounded natural handle with enough structure to suit everyday interior use. The repeat is very low at V 0cm / H 1cm approx, so the tiny herringbone sits neatly across the cloth without strong pattern interruption. At 143cm approx wide, it is practical for both upholstery and drapery applications, and the Q 8 + T 3 care code reflects a textile that should be professionally cleaned. In this colourway the weave reads as a pale stone-biscuit tone, with the herringbone only just darker than the ground, creating a softly tonal effect rather than a bold contrast.

How to use it

Use Tristram Bone on a tailored armchair, window seat or simple curtains where the muted beige will keep the room light. It pairs well with oak, chalk paint and deeper taupes for a quietly layered scheme.

A soft, quietly tailored neutral that works on upholstery or relaxed curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
