About this fabric

This 100% polyester chenille is woven in a close, small-scale texture that reads as warm grey-taupe from a distance, while the darker and lighter yarns become more apparent up close. The compact weave gives the colourway a gently speckled depth rather than a flat block of colour, with a smart, understated finish. At 138cm wide, it is suitable for contract and domestic upholstery. The fabric is machine washable and has domestic cigarette-and-match flame retardancy; it can also be treated to Crib 5 contract grade.

How to use it

Use the warm taupe-grey tone to soften a charcoal sofa or occasional chair, or set it against natural oak, stone, linen and muted olive for a quietly layered scheme.

Use this softly contrasted taupe-grey chenille on sofas, dining chairs or headboards, pairing it with warm timber and charcoal accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
