Chenille fabrics Fabric007

Rugby Lino has a quiet, pale greige tone that shifts gently between warm taupe and soft grey across its textured surface. Its close-up weave reveals a dense field of small, irregular loops and raised fibres.

About this fabric

This Dedar chenille fabric is woven in a muted greige shade, with fine beige-grey variation that gives the surface subtle depth rather than a flat, uniform colour. The dense, nubby construction is clearly visible in the small looped details and softly uneven horizontal texture. Light catches the raised fibres selectively, creating a calm, lightly mottled finish. Its substantial-looking woven character makes it particularly suited to upholstered seating and other tactile furniture applications.

How to use it

Pair Rugby Lino with warm white walls, pale oak and natural stone for a softly layered scheme, or use its grey-beige depth to temper darker timber and brushed metal.

Use the pale greige tone to soften tailored upholstery and complement natural timber, stone or warm off-whites.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
