About this fabric

The colour reads as a shaded wall taupe: understated, earthy and cooler than a warm beige, with darker areas appearing where the fabric folds. Closely spaced horizontal ribs create a finely textured surface rather than a flat plain, while the soft sheen changes gently across the photographed drape. The cloth appears fine and fluid in the image, making it particularly appropriate for drapery. No composition, width, rub test or other performance specification is supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use this deep grey-brown taupe for full-length curtains in a calm, tonal scheme, pairing it with chalky neutrals, smoked oak or warm stone. Its subtle ribbing can add texture without introducing a strong pattern.

A restrained taupe textile with fine horizontal ribbing, well suited to softly tailored curtains and blinds.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
