Hugo White

Upholstery fabrics Fabric001

Hugo White is a softly warm, ivory-toned upholstery fabric with a fine, tactile weave visible across its even surface. Its gentle colour reads lighter at the raised threads, giving the swatch a quietly textured finish rather than a flat white appearance.

About this fabric

The close, irregular weave creates a subtle pebbled texture while retaining the clean look of a plain fabric. Its creamy white tone is softer and warmer than a stark optic white, with delicate beige-grey flecks appearing where the threads meet. Light catches the small woven variations, adding restrained depth without introducing a visible motif or strong contrast. This understated surface is particularly suited to upholstered forms that benefit from texture without visual busyness.

How to use it

Use Hugo White on an armchair, sofa or dining seat where its warm ivory tone can soften a room without becoming strongly beige. Pair it with pale timber, natural linens and softly contrasting stone or taupe shades to draw out the weave.

A warm, lightly textured ivory weave for upholstered seating where subtle surface interest is wanted.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
