Upholstery fabrics Fabric004

Hurluberlu Domino has a softly mottled, monochrome character, combining warm ivory and pale grey with irregular black flecks. Its close-up surface reveals a pronounced, tactile weave rather than a flat printed design.

About this fabric

The swatch is built from densely packed, uneven yarns that form a small-scale grid of horizontal and vertical marks. Black threads punctuate the warm ivory ground, while softer grey fibres give the colourway a weathered, dimensional appearance. The substantial woven texture reads as well suited to upholstery, particularly where a refined but tactile finish is wanted. No composition, width or rub-test specification is supplied for this fabric, so its qualities here are assessed from the visible surface only.

How to use it

Use this cool-neutral, black-flecked colourway on a tailored armchair, sofa or dining seat, pairing it with warm timber and quiet ivory upholstery accents. Its varied grey and cream depth can soften a predominantly black-and-white scheme without introducing a strong accent colour.

A richly textured neutral upholstery cloth that brings layered black, grey and ivory depth to contemporary seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
