About this fabric

Hillevi Orso Bruno is listed as a Fabric in Dedar’s Upholstery fabrics collection, and its substantial-looking face reads naturally for seating. The ground is a very deep espresso brown, close to charcoal at the edges, with a warm undertone that keeps it from looking flat black. Against it, irregular ivory marks gather in loose, upward-pointing clusters, like small pale brushstrokes rather than a conventional floral repeat. A short, softly fuzzy surface catches the light unevenly, giving the dark field depth and making the ivory accents stand forward.

How to use it

Use the espresso-brown ground on a statement armchair, sofa or ottoman, pairing it with warm ivory, walnut and aged brass to pick up the pale clustered motifs. Its dark, softly textured face also suits restrained, atmospheric interiors where the pattern can act as a tactile focal point.

Use this deep espresso colourway to anchor seating with warm ivory accents and tactile contrast.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
