About this fabric

This colourway belongs to Dedar’s Velvet fabrics collection and is catalogued as Velvet. The Ebano shade is a dark, warm brown, close to polished espresso rather than a flat black-brown. A restrained nap gives the plain surface a soft, shaded appearance, with slight changes in tone where the pile reflects the light. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Ebano on a sofa, armchair or headboard where its deep brown tone can anchor a room without the hardness of black. Pair it with warm ivory, tobacco, aged brass or smoked wood to bring out the velvet’s softly lit depth.

Use this deep espresso velvet to add warmth, shadow and a quietly luxurious finish to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
