About this fabric

The close velvet pile appears smooth and even, while the directional nap catches the light in restrained tonal variations across the swatch. Its deep green colour reads cool and shadowed rather than bright, giving the fabric a quiet, enveloping presence. No printed motif is visible; the interest comes from the dense-looking surface and gentle change in sheen. As a velvet, it is particularly suited to upholstered seating, headboards and other tactile interior details.

How to use it

Use this bottle-green colourway on a sofa or occasional chair in a low-lit, layered scheme, pairing it with aged timber, dark metal or warm ivory accents. Its shadowy depth also makes a strong counterpoint to lighter walls and softly patterned textiles.

A deep bottle-green velvet for enveloping upholstery, especially where a room needs shade, softness and quiet drama.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
