Tiger Beat Fumo

Velvet fabrics Velvet003

Tiger Beat Fumo is a graphic Dedar velvet with a pale ivory-stone ground and irregular stepped bars that drift across the surface. Its smoky taupe shading and near-black edging give the pattern a softly dimensional, shadowed appearance.

About this fabric

The Fumo colourway combines a light ivory base with repeated smoky taupe bars, each picked out with dark charcoal-to-black edges. A narrow vertical border of alternating faceted diamond shapes runs along one side, adding a precise architectural finish to the looser horizontal motif. As a velvet, the surface has a softly plush character, while the restrained neutral palette keeps the pattern composed rather than vivid.

How to use it

Use this ivory-and-smoky-taupe colourway on a tailored armchair, headboard or compact sofa, with blackened metal and warm timber to echo its dark pattern outlines.

Use the smoky taupe, ivory and black palette to bring graphic definition to tailored seating.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Tiger Beat Fumo without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
