Velvet fabrics Velvet001

Tiger Beat Fauve combines a dusky mauve-taupe velvet ground with sharply graphic black and ochre-gold forms. The warm metallic ochre catches the light against the shaded, softly textured background.

About this fabric

This Dedar velvet colourway has a muted mauve-taupe base that gives the design a smoky, substantial depth rather than a bright or airy feel. Irregular stepped motifs in ochre-gold and black are scattered across the field, creating strong contrast and a rhythmic, almost architectural character. A central vertical line of alternating diamond-like shapes divides the pattern and adds a clear ornamental axis. The velvet surface visibly softens the edges of the geometric forms, while the darker details lend the composition a grounded, tailored finish.

How to use it

Use Tiger Beat Fauve on a statement chair, headboard or occasional sofa where its mauve-taupe depth can balance warm timber and the ochre-gold accents can pick up brass or aged bronze details.

Use the dusky mauve-taupe ground with black and ochre-gold accents for distinctive statement upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
