About this fabric

This colourway from Fryett's Fabrics uses a 100% cotton base with a PVC coating, making it a durable textile with an easy-care surface; the stated width is 132cm and the pattern repeat is 32cm. Visually, the ground is a soft natural beige with a slightly linen-like weave that reads calm and understated rather than stark. Against that neutral base, the pheasants are picked out in autumnal brown, burnt orange, cream and a dark bottle-green neck, so the motif feels crisp and decorative without overwhelming the cloth. The overall effect is warm and country-house in character, with the natural background giving the print plenty of breathing space.

How to use it

Use this beige colourway where you want a practical table cover with a relaxed, heritage feel. It sits especially well with timber furniture, woven placemats and earthy ceramics, letting the bird motif bring the colour.

A soft neutral ground that lets the pheasant motif stand out without feeling busy.

Pairs well with

Pheasant PVC PVC Pheasant Natural is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
