Papilio Flamingo/Papaya/Loganberry

Papilio Flamingo/Papaya/Loganberry places rows of vividly coloured butterflies across a warm ivory ground. Coral-pink, papaya orange, teal, green, yellow and deep plum details give the swatch a richly illustrated, high-spirited character.

About this fabric

The butterflies are arranged in a neat repeating grid, with each motif carrying its own combination of saturated colour and fine dark detailing. Flamingo pink and papaya orange bring warmth to the design, while teal, leafy green and loganberry plum add cooler depth against the pale ground. At 314 gsm and with 59 threads per centimetre, the cloth has a substantial mid-weight presence suitable for upholstery as well as drapery. Its 137 cm usable width and 68.5 cm vertical by 68.6 cm horizontal repeat make the regular arrangement practical to plan across a larger piece.

How to use it

Use this colourway to energise a reading chair, headboard or full-length curtains in an otherwise quiet room. Pair the warm ivory background with natural timber and repeat one of the deeper teal, plum or green accents in plain cushions and trims.

Bring its lively butterfly colours into focus with calm ivory, natural wood and plain-textured upholstery or curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Papilio Flamingo/Papaya/Loganberry without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
