About this fabric

This colourway is printed on 100% cotton and comes with a 46 cm horizontal and vertical pattern repeat, giving the climbing meadow design a broad, rhythmic spread across the cloth. The visible surface has the soft, slightly textured handle you would expect from a cotton fabric, with the print sitting clearly on a light base rather than sinking into a deep background. Jade greens lead the palette, but the addition of lilac blossoms, aqua touches and muted yellow details keeps the overall effect cool, spring-like and gently multicoloured. With a usable width of 141 cm, 20,000 Martindale and a General Domestic upholstery grade, it is suitable for cushions, blinds and lighter upholstery as well as drapery, and it is treatable for FR drapery and upholstery. Better Cotton content adds a responsible sourcing note to this lively, garden-inspired fabric.

How to use it

Use it where you want a fresh, softly whimsical statement: a window treatment, accent chair or scatter cushions against cream walls and pale wood. The jade ground and cool florals work especially well with brushed brass, glazed ceramics and leafy indoor planting.

Pair with pale timber, linen and soft neutrals to let the fresh jade and lilac floral print breathe.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Water Meadow Wild Fields Jade Wavy without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
