Papier Caspian

Papier Caspian presents a deep, cool blue-grey ground with a quiet, fine-grained texture. The close view reveals a restrained crosshatched surface rather than a drawn motif.

About this wallpaper

The colour sits between charcoal and slate, carrying a muted blue-green cast that keeps the dark tone feeling cool rather than brown. Fine intersecting marks create a softly woven appearance across the surface, with no contrasting pattern to interrupt its depth. The subtle texture gives the blue-grey shade a gently varied look instead of a flat block of colour. This is catalogued as wallpaper; no composition, width or performance specification has been supplied.

How to use it

Use this cool blue-grey wallpaper to give a room a calm, enveloping backdrop, especially alongside pale stone, chalky whites or smoked timber. Its fine texture adds depth without competing with furniture or artwork.

A cool, charcoal-leaning blue-grey with a fine crosshatched texture and quietly architectural presence.

Pairs well with

Papier Caspian is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
