About this fabric

The colour reads as a cool charcoal grey, softened by delicate shifts in tone across the cloth rather than a flat, solid finish. Fine vertical and horizontal threads form a restrained woven grid that becomes more apparent at the surface. There is no printed pattern; the character comes from the tight, subtly textured weave and its quiet tonal depth. As a fabric colourway, it offers a composed, architectural look for schemes that need grey with more texture than a plain painted surface.

How to use it

Use this deep carbon grey on a tailored armchair, sofa or roman blind where its cool tone can anchor paler walls and warm wood. It also suits tonal grey layering, especially with brushed metal and softly textured neutrals.

A cool, charcoal-toned plain weave that brings quiet depth to tailored upholstery, curtains or cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
