Retro Plaster

Timeless Plains Fabric

Retro Plaster is a softly shaded plain weave in a pale plaster beige, with a warm, lightly chalky appearance. Its fine vertical texture gives the otherwise quiet surface a subtle sense of movement.

About this fabric

The colour sits between warm beige and very light taupe, reading gentle and slightly weathered rather than bright or creamy. Close up, the even woven ground is crossed by delicate vertical irregularities that soften the flatness of the plain design. The surface appears matt, with only restrained changes in tone where the weave catches the light. No performance features are noted for this fabric, so suitability should be assessed against the intended drapery application.

How to use it

Use Retro Plaster at the window where its pale warm tone can filter into a calm neutral scheme without looking stark. Pair it with deeper taupe, natural timber or chalky off-whites to draw out the colourway’s softly aged character.

Use this softly textured plaster beige for curtains or relaxed, tonal schemes where a gentle woven surface adds depth.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
