Kerala Grey

Timeless Prints Fabric

Kerala Grey layers a cool dove-grey ground with an abundant ivory botanical drawing. Banana leaves, palms, flowers and berry-like details overlap across the surface in a softly weathered, low-contrast palette.

About this fabric

The grey background reads muted and slightly blue in the light, while the ivory foliage gives the design a chalky, gently aged appearance. Large banana leaves and feathery palm fronds create the main rhythm, with smaller blossoms and clustered fruit filling the spaces between. A fine, subtly irregular surface grain is visible beneath the detailed motif, keeping the expansive pattern from appearing flat. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Kerala Grey where a room needs pattern without strong colour contrast: it would sit naturally beside chalky whites, pale stone and cool timber. The quiet grey-and-ivory palette is especially suited to a layered scheme of botanical cushions, relaxed curtains or a softly patterned occasional chair.

The cool grey ground and softly contrasting ivory foliage bring a calm, collected botanical character to seating, cushions or window treatments.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Kerala Grey without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
