Kensey Quill

Kensey Fabric

Kensey Quill has a pale warm-grey ground with a minute, regular woven texture that reads almost like a soft micro-check. Its close tonal variation gives the surface a calm, finely detailed appearance.

About this fabric

Viewed closely, the cloth is made up of tiny light and warm-grey threads forming an even, subtly checked weave. The restrained contrast keeps the pattern quiet, while the fine surface texture prevents the colour from appearing flat. This colourway has a cool, softened appearance with a slight taupe warmth in the darker threads. As no further performance or construction specifications were supplied, suitability should be confirmed against the intended upholstery or drapery application.

How to use it

Use Kensey Quill to upholster a clean-lined chair or sofa where its soft warm-grey tone can act as a gentle neutral. It would also bring understated texture to curtains alongside chalky whites, pale timber and muted taupes.

The pale warm-grey tone and fine micro-check weave bring quiet texture to tailored upholstery or softly structured curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
