Esai Embossed Wallcovering Chalk

Esai Embossed Wallcovering in Chalk has a pale, softly warmed tone and a fine horizontal texture that gives the surface quiet visual depth. Its delicate embossed finish reads as subtle lines rather than a bold motif.

About this wallpaper

The Chalk colourway appears as a gentle cream with a faintly warm, natural cast, softened by closely spaced horizontal ridges. Light catches the embossed surface unevenly, creating restrained tonal movement across the otherwise calm ground. As a catalogued wallpaper, it is suited to wall covering rather than upholstery or drapery. The understated texture makes the finish feel more tactile than a completely flat pale wall.

How to use it

Use this soft chalk cream on walls where you want brightness without stark white, pairing it with warm timber, pale stone and quietly textured upholstery. Its low-contrast horizontal grain will sit comfortably behind both contemporary and more traditional furnishings.

Use this softly chalky wallcovering to create a light, quiet backdrop where its fine horizontal texture can be appreciated up close.

Pairs well with

Esai Embossed Wallcovering Chalk is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
