Figure Chalk

Formation Fabric

Figure Chalk pairs an almost-white chalk ground with a delicate dotted line that drifts across the surface in loose, looping paths. Its pale tonal contrast gives the design a particularly quiet, airy presence.

About this fabric

The fabric shows a chalky cream base crossed by slender rows of tiny taupe-grey dots, forming generous, winding curves rather than a rigid repeat. A subtle surface texture adds depth to the light ground, while the near-tone drawing remains soft and understated. No performance features are noted for this fabric. In this colourway, the motif reads as a lightly traced line, giving the cloth a calm and considered character.

How to use it

Use Figure Chalk to keep a room light and softly layered, especially on relaxed upholstery or full-length curtains where its looping lines can unfold across the pale ground. Pair it with warm whites, bleached timber and muted taupe accents to echo the fabric’s gentle contrast.

A quiet chalk ground and fine looping dotted line bring subtle movement to upholstery, curtains or blinds.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
