Esala Plains Sand is a quiet, warm beige plain weave with a softly varied surface that shifts gently between sand and light taupe in the swatch. Its fine texture gives the solid colour more depth than a completely flat cloth.

About this fabric

With a supplied weight of 370 gsm, this is a substantial textile suited to upholstery rather than a lightweight curtain cloth. The 138 cm usable width and 40 m standard length make it practical for upholstery planning, while the 0 cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeats allow the plain surface to be cut without motif matching. A specification of 81 threads per cm accompanies the close, even weave visible in the image. The warm sand tone remains muted and natural, with delicate tonal changes across the surface rather than a strong contrast or sheen.

How to use it

Use the warm sand-beige colour on a chair, headboard or sofa where its softly textured plain weave can bring lightness without looking stark. It works especially well with chalky creams, pale timber and understated taupe accents.
