Titley & Marr

Mali 2

African Skies Fabric

Mali 2 is a warm, terracotta-led print with a lively repeat of ivory geometric marks and a slimmer pinker motif running through the design. The overall effect is earthy and sunbaked, with the pattern sitting clearly against the ground rather than fading into it.

About this fabric

This colourway is grounded in a burnt orange terracotta tone, lifted by crisp ivory motifs and a softer pink accent that appears in the central vertical band. The cloth has the look of a woven cotton-style fabric with a matte surface and a compact, tidy handle, making the pattern read cleanly across the width. No performance features are noted for this fabric. The small geometric repeat feels rhythmic and decorative without becoming busy, and the warmer background gives the design a distinctly earthy, seasonal character.

How to use it

Pair Mali 2 with natural woods, raffia, or aged brass to echo its warm clay notes. It will work especially well in relaxed upholstery accents or curtains where the terracotta ground can add depth and colour.

Use it to bring warm, rhythmic pattern to a cushion scheme or softly tailored curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
