About this fabric

The colour sits between charcoal grey and muted taupe, creating a shaded, atmospheric neutral rather than a flat black-grey. A delicate crosshatched weave is visible across the surface, adding quiet texture without a strong pattern. In the gathered folds, the fabric shifts from soft mid-grey highlights to deeper graphite shadows. Its fluid fall, shown clearly in the swatch, makes this colourway especially suited to drapery.

How to use it

Use Flanders Thunder for full-length curtains where its smoky taupe-grey tone can soften a room without introducing a warm beige cast. Pair it with pale stone, chalk white or dark timber for a restrained, quietly layered scheme.

A softly fluid smoky grey with a fine woven texture for understated curtains and window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
