About this fabric

The close view shows a small, even plain weave rather than a visible motif, giving the surface a restrained textile grain. Its dark olive-brown tone reads muted and earthy, becoming nearly charcoal in the deeper folds while catching a softer brown-green sheen across the flatter areas. The fabric has a fluid appearance in the draped swatch, making it best suited to curtain and window-treatment applications. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Flanders Bitter for full-length curtains where its deep olive-brown tone can bring weight and calm to a room. Pair it with warm timber, aged brass and muted stone shades to echo the colour's earthy depth.

A dark olive-brown plain weave with a softly fluid handle, suited to understated curtains and relaxed window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
