Whisper Gris is shown here as a cool, pale blue-grey sheer, gathered into soft folds that shift from almost silver at the highlights to deeper slate-grey in the layers.

About this fabric

The cloth has a translucent, airy appearance, with the darker surface beneath showing through the open folds. Across the exposed areas, a very fine regular woven grid gives the otherwise quiet surface delicate definition. Light passes through the blue-grey ground rather than creating strong contrast, keeping the colour muted and cool. Its fluid fall in the photograph points to drapery use, where these subtle tonal shifts can remain part of the finish.

How to use it

Use this cool blue-grey at a window where its sheer surface can temper daylight without adding visual weight. Pair it with chalky whites, pale grey upholstery or brushed silver details to echo the colour’s softly silvery highlights.

A cool, translucent blue-grey for softly filtered window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
