About this fabric

The colour sits close to black but retains a smoky, earthy brown cast, giving it more depth than a flat black cloth. Fine, uneven yarns form a lightly crosshatched texture that catches the light across the creases. Its substantial-looking woven surface reads as suitable for both upholstery and drapery, while the image shows no decorative motif beyond the weave itself. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Pair this charcoal-brown colourway with warm timber, aged metal and pale stone to balance its depth. It would also bring a tailored, low-contrast finish to a sofa, headboard or softly gathered curtain.

Use its deep smoky tone to add grounded contrast to tailored upholstery or full-length curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
