Rochelle Fabric16

Rochelle 16 Coconut is a softly balanced greige woven in a fine, broken check. Its pale taupe-grey ground is crossed by darker threads, giving the swatch quiet depth rather than a flat solid appearance.

About this fabric

Viewed close up, the weave combines a pale taupe-grey base with charcoal-grey and oatmeal threads, forming an irregular, almost windowpane-like check. The small-scale pattern is softened by the loose, crosshatched yarns, so the colour reads textured and gently mottled rather than sharply geometric. As no performance features are noted for this fabric, suitability should be assessed against the intended project and application. In this colourway, the low-contrast greige balance keeps the pattern understated while preserving visible surface interest.

How to use it

Use 16 Coconut to bring a warm, light taupe-grey note to an upholstered chair, headboard or relaxed curtain scheme. Pair it with chalky whites, pale timber and deeper charcoal accents to pick up the weave’s tonal variation.

Use this softly mottled greige weave to add quiet texture to upholstery, curtains or layered neutral schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
