Moire Chalk

Luxury Plains FabricZOF0220-01

Moire Chalk is a very pale chalk-ivory plain with a softly shifting surface. In the photograph, fine horizontal ribbing becomes more apparent across the lower fold, while the upper section reads as a lightly clouded, luminous surface.

About this fabric

The colour sits close to ivory rather than stark white, with a quiet neutral warmth that keeps the overall effect soft and understated. Its closely spaced horizontal lines give the lower section a precise, finely textured appearance, while the folded area catches the light with a gentle moiré change. At 321 gsm and 141 cm usable width, this textile has enough substance for upholstery while remaining suitable for drapery. The specification records 100 threads per cm and no pattern repeat, with both vertical and horizontal repeats listed as 0 cm.

How to use it

Use this pale chalk-ivory colourway on a tailored chair, upholstered headboard or full-length curtain where its subtle ribbing can add texture without introducing a strong pattern. It works especially well with warm whites, pale stone and softly aged timber.

Its quiet chalk-ivory tone and fine moiré texture suit tailored upholstery, relaxed curtains and softly layered neutral schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
