About Maria Flora
Mariaflora describes itself as a spinner, weaver and editor of outdoor fabrics. It was founded in 2015 in Biella, in the Piedmont textile district of northern Italy, and makes solution-dyed acrylic cloth locally through a vertical process that controls the whole chain from fibre to finished fabric. It supplies furniture makers and has a strong presence in superyacht interiors.
The brand has since been acquired by the Italian textile house Dedar, and now appears as one of Dedar's two brands. Its own website is currently a holding page that publishes no history, so this page says only what can be sourced.
