About Titley & Marr
Titley and Marr was founded in 1984 as a textile design house, and works from Liss Business Centre in Hampshire. Kathryn Titley has been a director since the early 1990s.
Every seasonal collection is designed in house, taking its cue from traditional documents from across the world and recolouring them for rooms people actually live in now. The collections mix printed and woven cloth in textured yarns, wools, velvets, linens and cotton.
The house has always prided itself on making almost everything in the United Kingdom, moving production to mills in Europe only where a specialist technique demands it. It will also make one-off wallpapers and fabrics to a designer's own design, including highly technical cloths for contract projects in single colourways, in quantities small enough for one room.
One honest caveat. Titley and Marr is the only house in our photographed library that publishes no technical specification online at all. That is a gap in the data, not in the cloth: composition, width and rub test come off the pattern book, and we read them off for you before anything is ordered.
