Jaipur Barley Stripe Steel combines a cool steel-grey ground with narrow vertical bands of curling foliage, small floral marks and linked chain-like lines. Pale barley and soft stone tones bring definition without taking away from its restrained, muted character.

About this fabric

The design is arranged in a regular vertical stripe, with alternating leafy trails, delicate linked motifs and small scattered flower-like details. Its steel-grey base reads cool and quietly blue-grey in the image, while the barley-coloured pattern adds a warmer, chalky contrast. The closely textured surface gives the stripes a softly tactile, woven appearance rather than a flat printed look. No performance features are noted for this fabric, so its suitability should be assessed against the intended upholstery or drapery application.

How to use it

Use this colourway on a tailored occasional chair, blind or full-length curtain where its cool steel tone can sit against warm ivory, stone, putty or pale timber. Keep neighbouring patterns simple so the vertical foliage and chain detailing remain legible.
