Suffolk Fringe Trim

Misc Fabric

Suffolk Fringe Trim is a pale ivory fringe with a dense, neatly woven header and rows of loosely twisted hanging cords. Its warm off-white tone gives the trim a gentle, softly aged appearance.

About this fabric

The trim is made up of closely packed, rope-like strands that vary subtly in length, creating an irregular fringe edge rather than a rigid straight line. Light catches the raised twists, bringing out delicate shifts between ivory, cream and pale grey. As a catalogued fabric trim with no performance features noted, it is best considered for decorative upholstery detailing rather than performance-led use. The substantial corded texture adds definition wherever the fringe is viewed close up.

How to use it

Pair this soft ivory trim with warm white, oatmeal or pale stone upholstery for a quiet tonal finish. It would bring a tailored yet relaxed edge to a chair skirt, ottoman, upholstered bed or curtain border.

Use the softly irregular fringe to finish the lower edge of an upholstered chair, ottoman or headboard.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
