Iridos Wallcovering Anthracite

Iridos Wallcovering Anthracite presents a softly layered field of smoky grey, crossed by irregular vertical striations. The tonal variation gives the surface a weathered, atmospheric quality without introducing a contrasting motif.

About this wallpaper

This colourway reads as a deep, cool anthracite grey, with lighter graphite and muted taupe-grey threads appearing between the darker vertical bands. Fine mottling and uneven grain keep the stripes from looking rigid, while the close tonal range creates a calm sense of depth. The changing density of the lines gives the wallcovering a subtly hand-worked, mineral character. Catalogued as wallpaper, it is a considered choice where a dark, textural backdrop is preferred over a flat block colour.

How to use it

Pair the smoky anthracite ground with pale stone, warm grey or aged timber to draw out its softer taupe notes. It also suits darker metal accents and tailored furnishings when a more enveloping mood is wanted.

Use this smoky anthracite wallpaper to bring quiet depth and vertical rhythm to contemporary or tailored interiors.

Pairs well with

Iridos Wallcovering Anthracite is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
