Aluna Wallcovering Shadow

Aluna Wallcovering Shadow has a deep charcoal-grey ground with closely spaced vertical striations running across the surface. Subtle tonal variation keeps the dark shade from appearing flat, giving the wallcovering a softly shadowed, tactile character.

About this wallpaper

Catalogued as wallpaper, this colourway presents a near-black charcoal tone softened by fine grey and muted blue-grey threads of colour. The narrow vertical lines create a small-scale, linear texture rather than a pronounced decorative motif. Uneven shifts in the striation give the surface gentle depth, with the darker areas receding and lighter threads catching the light. Its restrained contrast makes the design feel contemporary and composed without losing the atmospheric quality suggested by the name Shadow.

How to use it

Use Shadow on a feature wall or throughout a darker, contemporary scheme where its charcoal depth can sit alongside blackened metal, smoked glass and warm timber. The fine vertical texture also works well behind pale upholstery or soft grey furnishings, creating contrast without introducing a bold pattern.

Use this deep charcoal ground to add quiet depth to contemporary rooms, especially where fine vertical texture will complement clean-lined furnishings.

Pairs well with

Aluna Wallcovering Shadow is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
