Chimera Wallcovering Ember

Chimera Wallcovering Ember unfolds across a deep charcoal ground with a large, crane-like bird at its centre and a fantastical white creature below. Taupe cloud forms, curling lines and small touches of rust, blue and sage give the scene a richly layered, storybook quality.

About this wallpaper

The large-scale composition combines sweeping cloud shapes with two vividly illustrated creatures, making the design feel more like a painted scene than a conventional repeat. Ember’s charcoal background is softened by mushroom, taupe and warm brown clouds, while coral-rust flourishes bring a gentle heat to the otherwise shadowed palette. Blue wing details and a pale sage-green accent on the lower creature add restrained flashes of colour. Fine drawn lines and softly brushed shading remain visible across the motifs, giving this wallpaper its distinctive illustrated depth.

How to use it

Pair Ember with warm taupe upholstery, dark timber and aged brass to draw out its smoky charcoal ground and rust accents. In a smaller room, use it on one feature wall so the large mythical scene remains the focus.

Use this dramatic charcoal colourway to bring an illustrated, collector’s-piece feel to a feature wall.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Chimera Wallcovering Ember without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
