Inaya Velvet Aurora

Zafaro Velvet

Inaya Velvet Aurora layers icy aqua, chalk and mineral neutrals into an abstract vertical composition. Flecks of teal, taupe, rust and muted mauve give the pale ground a quietly weathered depth.

About this fabric

The design is made up of broken, vertically brushed bands rather than a regular repeat, with translucent-looking aqua washes beside darker brown, teal and rust marks. Across the velvet surface, the light catches in broad pale highlights, giving the colourway a softly luminous, dimensional appearance. Its cool white and aqua foundation keeps the overall impression airy, while the warmer mineral streaks prevent it from feeling stark. Catalogued as a velvet, it is suited to upholstery where this painterly movement and visible surface richness can be appreciated.

How to use it

Pair Aurora with chalky walls, pale timber and brushed metal for a cool, light-filled scheme, or draw out its taupe, rust and mauve marks with earthy cushions and accent pieces. Its icy aqua base works especially well on a statement chair, headboard or occasional sofa.

Use this painterly velvet to bring icy colour, mineral depth and reflective movement to statement upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
