Tabala Velvet Oxide

Tabala Velvet

Tabala Velvet Oxide is a richly layered velvet built from broad, irregular geometric shapes. Charcoal and deep blue-black areas sit against mineral grey, pale cream and warm oxide-ochre accents, creating a distinctly graphic swatch.

About this fabric

Catalogued as a velvet, Tabala Velvet Oxide has a substantial, upholstery-led presence in this swatch. Fine horizontal lines run across the surface, giving the fabric a visibly striated texture and allowing the grey tones to shift subtly with the light. Large angular forms overlap in charcoal, blue-black, cream and muted ochre, while the oxide accents bring warmth through the otherwise cool, mineral palette. The result is a deep, architectural colourway with more tonal variation than a flat, single-colour velvet.

How to use it

Use Tabala Velvet Oxide on a statement armchair, ottoman or sofa where its charcoal and blue-black depth can anchor a room. Balance the graphic pattern with pale stone, warm timber and small touches of aged brass to draw out the oxide-ochre notes.

A graphic velvet in layered charcoal, grey, cream and oxide-ochre tones for statement upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
