Tsauri Avocet

Tsauri Fabric

Tsauri Avocet pairs a soft ivory ground with sweeping charcoal-black marks that resemble broad, energetic brushstrokes. The high-contrast colourway gives the abstract design a striking, graphic presence.

About this fabric

Large, irregular bands curve across the surface in layered black and charcoal tones, with fine directional lines creating the impression of a heavily worked brush. The ivory background remains clearly visible around each sweeping form, giving the design space and definition rather than an all-over dark appearance. Subtle variation within the dark marks adds depth, from dense near-black areas to lighter, more open strokes. As a fabric with no further performance specification supplied, its bold scale is best assessed alongside the intended upholstery or drapery application.

How to use it

Use Tsauri Avocet where an ivory-and-charcoal palette can act as a strong focal point: on a statement chair, occasional cushion or relaxed curtain. Pair it with plain ivory textiles and charcoal accents to echo the contrast without competing with the expressive marks.

Use the high-contrast monochrome brushstroke pattern to bring graphic movement to upholstery, cushions or full-length curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
