About this wallpaper

The Shadow colourway has a cool, dark blue-grey background that gives the design a moody, enveloping depth. Warm ochre-gold linework traces pagoda-like buildings, birds, seated figures, flowering branches and winding landscape forms across the surface. Fine horizontal striations interrupt the imagery, creating a gently weathered, textural appearance rather than a flat block of colour. The contrast between the shadowed ground and illuminated-looking motifs gives this wallpaper a richly decorative, formal character.

How to use it

Use Shadow on a dining room, study or bedroom feature wall where its cool charcoal tone can sit alongside dark timber, aged brass and warm neutral upholstery. Keep surrounding surfaces restrained so the ochre-gold chinoiserie scenes remain the focal point.

Use the deep blue-grey ground and warm ochre-gold chinoiserie detail to create a richly atmospheric feature wall.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Isenzo Wallcovering Shadow without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
